Data Sources and Third-Party Services

This page gives an overview of key third-party services, data sources and providers that may be used in or together with Importkalk. The list is informative and not necessarily exhaustive. Actual use may vary over time, by feature and by market.
Where Importkalk uses a third-party service or data source, that provider's own terms, licences, policies and privacy notices also apply. Use through Importkalk does not waive or replace those terms.
Availability, rate limits, maintenance, changes and outages at third parties are outside our control.
1. Payments, infrastructure and analytics
Stripe
- Purpose: payments, subscriptions, receipts and invoicing.
- Data that may be processed: payment-related customer identifiers, subscription status, transaction data and invoice data.

Supabase
- Purpose: authentication, database, storage and infrastructure.
- Data that may be processed: account information, authentication data, saved calculations, technical logs and other application data.

PostHog
- Purpose: consent-aware product analytics and session replay, web performance monitoring, error tracking, closed-choice in-product surveys and operational monitoring of Gemini API calls.
- Data that may be processed: pseudonymous usage events; LCP, CLS and INP performance measurements; masked session recordings where consent is given; error type, stack trace and release metadata; and the selected answer to a closed-choice survey.
- AI operational metadata: model and task name, token counts, latency, a safe error classification and estimated cost. This monitoring does not send prompts, model outputs, search terms, vehicle data, raw provider errors, cache keys or user, team or request identifiers to PostHog.

2. Search, AI and exchange-rate sources
Google Gemini API
- Purpose: AI-based structuring, enrichment, suggestions, classification, translation or gap-filling where the Service uses such features.
- Data that may be processed: search terms, free text, vehicle specifications and other input necessary for the relevant feature.
- Important: AI-generated or AI-supplemented information may be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated and must be verified before use in important decisions.

Brave Search API
- Purpose: search across public or open sources, and potentially grounding or enrichment based on search results.
- Data that may be processed: search terms, technical metadata and related request data.

Frankfurter
- Purpose: exchange rates and currency conversion where such functionality is offered.
- Data that may be processed: generally no direct personal data beyond technical request data.

3. Public and industry-specific vehicle data sources
Norwegian Public Roads Administration – API for technical vehicle data with owner information
- Purpose: lookups in the Norwegian vehicle registry where relevant to the feature and permitted under applicable rules.
- Data that may be processed: registration number, VIN or other identifiers necessary for the lookup.
- Important: Accessing data through Importkalk does not change the underlying terms or licence conditions set by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. Official data must still be used in accordance with the applicable rules.

Synsbasen API
- Purpose: Danish vehicle information, inspection data and related lookups where relevant functionality is offered.
- Data that may be processed: registration numbers, VINs and other identifiers needed for the lookup.
- Important:Synsbasen's own terms and privacy rules continue to apply when used through Importkalk.

4. Important reservations
- Importkalk does not control third-party availability, uptime, change management or data quality.
- Third-party providers may change pricing, terms, technical interfaces, data models and usage restrictions without our control.
- Critical information must always be verified against official or primary sources before important decisions are made.
- Country-specific annexes may supplement this page with local data sources, authorities and additional information for a particular market.
